THE HURT LOCKER was the most intense action-packed film I have seen in a long time. The acting is flawless. Kudos for the fact that the director is a woman: Kathryn Bigelow! <why?>
BRUNO gave me more anxiety in the first ten minutes than the entirety of APOCOLYPTO. Sasha Baron Cohen is the most committed, fearless performer living right now. Furthermore, the movie reminded me that if I live in the U.S., it’s best to live on the edges.
THE LOVELY BONES is the upcoming Peter Jackson movie based on Alice Sebold’s novel. I read the book a year ago. Heartbreaking and scary – I can’t wait to see this adaptation.
