I’m on the web all day and night it seems. eBay is too addictive, I want it to ban me. YouTube is the best. Facebook makes me feel dirty and stupid but I look on it every day to check on birthdays and what the people who work for me are getting up to. I find myself wanting to pick fights with the people who use it to tell me that their flatmate has just made shepherd’s pie and does anything strike horror into you more than seeing the words “so and so has tagged a photo of you on Facebook”?
Twitter is the worst because it encourages trite and banal people to be even more trite and banal. Look at the most famous Tweeters: P Diddy and Ashton Kuchter. I have one but it just says “Twitter is for fucking nerds”. People keep becoming my “followers” despite the fact I’ve only posted one thing ever. Maybe I’m missing out on something.
