No more Wobble Bass.. at least not as much

A prime example is Joker’s vocoder funk and Dr. Dre-inspired singles “Digidesign” and “Do it“, or 2-step/garage/funky influenced tracks, examples including artists such as Brackles, Shortstuff, Mt. Kimbie and Joy Orbison whose track “Hyph Mango” made it to Pitchfork as a “Best New Music.” The more experimental and raw side of Funky House has kinda taken the spotlight for the constantly evolving UK urban scene, with artists such as Roska, Cooly G, and Dark Knight getting international interest, and Hyperdub, initially a dubstep label, putting out more housey tracks. Wobbly mosh dubstep has gone to the same realm as Ed Banger- more popular yet utterly irrelevent. Parties like Trouble and Bass in NY push the mosh angle to the extreme, whipping audiences into a frenzy of fascist chanting. Wobble Bass is boring now and has been replaced by manic synths.  It is still really popular, just not, erm… cool.
