Take a look into the life and work of Anna Wintour, chief editor of Vogue magazine, and the work she puts into each glossy fashion spread in the new documentary The September Issue. The film takes us on a journey from the racks of clothing shuffled back and forth for her approval, the power of her say so on every possible detail, and the people who work for her. If nothing else, it’s fabulous to see Runway fashion that large-scale.

Scene from Wristcutters
The above is from the movie Wristcutters. It’s not brand-new, but it is beautiful, and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it. An existential trip into the underworld, we view the afterlife with a new perspective. Patrick Fugit from Almost Famous stars with Shannon Sossamyn, Tom Waits, and Eugene from the super popular gypsy-punk band, Gogol Bordello.
Chris Rock’s documentary movie, Good Hair, is all about the world of African-American hair-care, extensions on a layaway plan, relaxers and the murder they perform on the hair and scalp in the interest of creating ‘Good hair.’ I haven’t seen it yet, but it looks hilarious!
