Bored to Death is the new comedy series starring Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson, and Zack Galifinakis. It’s just starting, and the premise is that Schwartman’s side job is promoting himself as a private detective on Craigslist. He’s actually getting hired to get skateboards back, find missing people, and dodge the writer’s block consuming him. A neurotic boss, odd best friend, and much white wine aid in this new distraction. I’ve only seen three episodes so far, but I like it.
Everyone’s favorite serial killer, Dexter, is back! This time, with a new wife, new baby, two stepkids, and the same old dark passenger inside. I truly love this show. It’s on Showtime every Sunday night at nine. Each episode is riveting, especially with John Lithgow as a creepy new nemesis.
If you have ever seen Curb Your Enthusiasm, the brain-child of Larry David, you know that nothing is more hilarious and cringe-worthy at the same time. Larry is forever being ‘that guy’, expressing himself in inappropriate ways, calling people out in annoying situations, ever the lack of internal monologue causing him to be kicked out, hit, yelled at and trying needlessly to defend himself.
