Recently I found a blog that’s really interesting. Ania Kopaczewska is an artist and besides galleries she exhibits her works online at http://polskiedupy.wordpress.com/. Drawings from the series London Calling refer to the subject of prostitution.
London Calling is a series of overdrawn leaflets found on the streets of London and Amsterdam, advertising sex service or encouraging women to become prostitutes.
As Ania Kopaczewska says, “The starting point is looking at prostitution as a phenomenon being a result of patriarchal social system”. The series title refers to oppressive ways language functions in culture.
