This month seems to be full of new openings in Stockholm. Is it a coffee shop? Is it an office? No it’s ‘Coffice‘, the new concept office and coffee shop for members. If you don’t fancy paying out big rents in town for a space you only use once or twice a week then get a membership at Coffice where you can buy time and space.
Perfumer Ben Gorman opens his first, much anticipated, Byredo store in Stockholm. Rumours have it that a store could soon be coming to a town near you too.
A new hotel, hotel Skeppsholmen recently opened on the island of Skeppsholmen in Stockholm walking distance from Moderna Muset. It’s a little too ‘Scandinavian’ in design for me, but it’s a super location, quiet but close to town.
The restaurant scene sees a newcomer in the form of Djuret, the small back restaurant of Lejontornet where you can indulge in some head to tail eating that changes on a weekly basis - from lamb week to deer week. Riche just had its reindeer week and was mentioned in The Wall Street Journal for including game on the menu. The best dish was certainly the warm smoked reindeer heart with pickled wild mushrooms and lingonberries (ed – Mmmmm).
