An incredible movie featuring one my favourite actors, Sam Rockwell, Moon is yet another impressive work of independent science fiction. In which we have a young director with an ambitious vision, a perfectly cast lead and the creativity to bring it to life without having to work on a Michael Bay-sized budget. It reminds me a lot of Danny Boyle’s Sunshine.
Cyprien is the first french movie about Geeks. The crème de la crème of french humorists have worked on this movie, with a classy soundtrack by Jean Benoit from Air. The result is so pathetic, so sad: 2.5 jokes per hour. It’s definitly super hard to make cool comedies when Apatow makes 3 or 4 top comedies each year.
