bored-to-death

What a pleasure it is to have a meeting with Jason Schwartzman and friends every week on this new, and really cool, TV series on HBO. The “Indy/ Sundance” feel comes to television, giving a new direction for a movie producer.

It’s short format (26 minutes) with good acting and a great script. Jason Schwartzman plays a writer/private investigator who find his contacts and cases through an ad on Craigslist.

Special mention to Ted Danson, who plays a typical new yorker dandy and Jason’s editor.

The show is maybe the best illustration of the new New York boheme, based in Williamsburg.
