Downloading films and TV from the internet is something that everyone seems to do out here, even my cab driver the other day, as I mentioned I’d bought a new TV and he inquired why? when I could download or stream the content on my laptop. But it seems people are getting a little tired of the actual downloading (Rlslog is still interesting but full of fake links). It’s just fulfilling a need to see TV / Film on demand which in the past has not been provided by the film nor TV industry.
Many of Sweden’s TV channels have begun to stream shows for a limited time but still people like to see US series such as Dexter, Californication, Curb Your Enthusiasm when they air in the US or shortly after so the likes of Ninjavideo and Surfthechannel are quite popular.
But a legal alternative has just launched, a beta version, ‘the spotify of film’ – Voddler, not so many great films so far and the graphical interface feels dated but it could be a future hit!
