One must go back and revisit the classics over Christmas. I had to go and revisit the classic Grand Hotel at least three times; it has a great view over the water and it feels perfectly Christmasy.Why go for the latest place when the classics are still good if not still the best?
The Grand’s bar is a very relaxing place to read the papers, take a pot of tea and relax in opulence. The service is a little slow but that just seems to add to the relaxing atmosphere. There aren’t too many tables, so you’re not crammed in and it’s not that much more expensive than having a tea at the other dull, boring coffee shops in town.
