Over Christmas I ventured a little out of town to check out Stockholm’s IMAX cinema ‘Cosmonova‘ which has its home at the Natural History Museum and shows some 3D ‘educational’ films.
I booked myself on to check out Sea Monsters 3D, and, well, the plot was a little thin on the ground, and 45 minutes was a touch too long for the film, I did feel it repeated itself a few times just to reuse some footage.
However when they weren’t boring us with re-enacting the discovery of fossils, the 3D footage of the sea creatures was pretty impressive; fish all over the place. The part where the Tylosaurus seizes a Squalicorax out of water was a show stopper for me as the Tylosaurus came out of the screen to where I was sitting in the auditorium!
