French TV has discovered lately a new generation of cuisine/gastronomic programme. For years, cooking on TV was for desperate housewives: French cuisine experts, reviews of costly or super tradionnal (and boring) restaurants. But now French producers have discovered Jamie Oliver and how cool cooking on TV can be.
M6, one of the biggest channels in France, is really into this kind of family program and have created their own Jamie, Cyril Lignac. This french chef organises cooking contests, cooking reality shows, cooking magazines… now everything on TV is all about cooking!
