
One of the few looks I can really think of right now that constitutes a “trend” is what girls are wearing as a result of the twee-pop indie-revival. It involves dressing kinda like a young girl in the 1990′s, a “horse girl.” Flower print dresses, over-sized denim shirts or loose denim jackets, loose shirts tucked into jeans high waisted pants and shorts, oversized sweaters, occasionally headbands, sometimes long hair swooped over one’s head in a huge part. It’s very Sissy Spacek in Badlands, but with a bit of grunge and bohemian influence circa approximately 1991. It is also kind of a “country girl in the city” look. I believe the ultimate accessory would be to ride a pony but a friendship bracelet could work too. These photos from my friend Hayden’s online store Mother’s Daughter:
