When I first heard about Beataucue (which in french means “Dick in my ass”) I thought it was a joke. How can a band choose a name like this?… After listening to the first remixes of Major Lazer or Sound of Stereo, everything is now clear. The post generation after Brodinski, Fluokids and Yuksek is bored and ready to launch their missile across the world.
It’s fascinating to discover this generation who was raised on Daft Punk, and who really never heard of Nirvana, rock ‘n’ roll or even hip hop. A mix of subculture and geek obsession. The music is synthetic and ultra powerful, like a Tekken fight. Their first own production is scheduled to arrive in April. I will keep you updated.
