Same old locations, same old fashion photography

It seems that in BCN every photographer shoots either on the beach (boring and dirty) or in the turn of the century flats you find in the Eixample district. These are actually a pretty scenery but I think I’m suffering from model war fatigue after seeing 15.000 pictures of Swedish contortionists lying on modernist mosaics with natural lighting. This summer, two things are going to be featured in the magazines: woodland shoots and urban stuff, not as in breakdancing or graffiti but as in traffic, city life and that kind of thing.

Why photographers here are so unimaginative? There is so much that can be done with design, patterns and montage to make a fashion photograph look different and cool. I’m also into natural lighting, it is not the 60′s anymore. I would say blind those models with light and think of new fun places that make good backdrops. How about planetariums?
