Tiny Vices is a nice blog/photo archive that is run by Tim Barber who was once the photo editor of Vice magazine. I see him sometimes in the village and recognize him because he has such a distinct look to his face. The links page is also a great resource library for contemporary artist and design portfolios. For the most part, the photography is unexploitative, so its not a bunch of party kids puking or girls with long hair taking their shirts off in some dirty apartment. The site emphasizes quality over buzziness. It also serves as an event calender for select openings and parties around NY. I like to stop by every now and again and just leisurely browse.
Street Boners and TV Carnage is Gavin McInnes from Vice and another guy. He now does this site, which is why the Do’s and Dont’s are no longer funny. This is an opposite site of sorts. All exploitation. TV Carnage is worthy of its own post.
