Random Meanderings

Whether you find yourself at the bar with a glass of pale ale, listening to the sounds of DJ Brace scratching up a storm at Quai des Brumes, or perhaps you are kicking on the sofa eating nachos at Casa Del Poppolo, listening to the sounds of kOak + Samuel Thulin.  Or maybe you are dancing and it is 2 am and your feet hurt but you don’t want to stop dancing because the music is so good and the space is so intimate and the vibe is so right at the Cabaret Juste Pour Rire.  If it’s a Monday you might want to try wandering over to BarFly to hear a 16-piece big band jazz ensemble throw down some serious jams from 8-10 pm, totally free of charge.  There is, however, a chance that you may be eyeballing distorted Montrealaise charicatures while sipping not-so-fine red wine at an Ex-Centris vernissage.  The legendary state-of-the-art movie arcade has sadly shut its doors to cinema in favor of greener economic pastures hosting shows involving musicians, artists, and other types of creative performers.
