You may think they’d give someone who survived both the Holocaust and Charles Manson a break. But Roman Polanski is having serious legal problems that probably will end his film career for good. So The Ghost turns out to be Roman Polanski’s last film. Based on a novel by British author Robert Harris, it’s a funny and absurd thriller with vivid dialogue and strong characters.
The Ghost is about a former British prime minister (Pierce Brosnan’s Tony Blair-like) who is threatened with being hauled in front of the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes. Complicated and so good.
