Q: What good and bad examples have you seen of brands using social networking sites/applications/services?
A: Bad campaign - A lot of brands use the fan page to recruit new members and contacts. For example, to watch some reports, videos or access to music content (Phoenix recently/Renault and Ed BAnger/Citroën), you have to become fan of the brands. For Ed Banger and Citroën, I think there is a huge gap between Ed Bangers’ fans (Justice, Sebastian…) and the product which is a small luxury car. Very dangerous for the artist.
Good campaign - Certain shops propose some reductions or vouchers to the people who register quite often in their shops/restaurants. For example, if you check daily in Strabucks, you can have a free coffee after a certain number of checking. That’s fun.
