La Boite Noire is no secret, but damn is it ever good.  In Montreal, its Mont-Royal location offers two levels of cinematic heaven, neatly subdivided by category, spanning a rich depth of genres, eras, and styles. Whether you are looking for a classic 70′s horror movie like The Exorcist or Texas Chainsaw Massacre, an oldschool cinema classic from The Criterion Collection, Stanley Kubrick, Audrey Hepburn, James Bond — with Sean Connery, of course — some crazy Japanese Anime flick or more contemporary classics like the Cohen Brothers’ Big Lebowski, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, the award-winning documentary The Cove, or French filmmaker François Truffault’s classic Jim and June, La Boite Noire has got it.  It’s all that and a box of popcorn.
