Repeatedly going back to SALEM at 1 in the morning over the past 6 months, has got me into the Juke and Footwork sound coming out from Chicago.

It’s good to hear something in hip-hop that isn’t the same old autotune and 4 bar synth loop crap. There’s very little I’ve found online. One mixtape from a guy called Beatz by the Pound on Datpiff, and the DJ Nate tracks on the Salem mixes they’ve done for Fader, but it looks like u-ziq’s Mike Paradinas is also on it. Hopefully, if he ever puts a compilation out,  it’ll be better than those awful approximation of grime CD’s that Reflex put out in the mid 00′s.
