Nails by Mahban
This summer I have departed from the usual red nail polish that dons my toes in the summertime into every colour of the rainbow – turquoise and orange being my current faves. I have been noticing that girls these days are going way out there with their nails. Not in a Lee press-on kind of way but in a DIY design kind of way, with a steady hand and imagination.

But it is definitely harder to do your own nails – that’s why Nails by Mahban is a nail art performance series held at Not Your Father’s Contemporary Gallery. You can make an appointment to get one-of-a-kind nail design done by Mahban herself. Not surprising that you have to book in advance and it fills up quick. From leopard print, to wood grain, to crazy tribal fluorescents each design seems to get more inspired then the next. If it’s subtlety you are going for, stick to the french manicure – these nails have tons of personality. I’m going to have to get my nails done/did at the next one, hands down.
