The story of the young Joan Jett and sultry yet inexperienced Cherie Curry is explored in The Runaways. It was difficult to envision Dakota Fanning as a sex symbol, but oh the fashion. From Bowie T-shirts to glitter tube tops, platform shoes and satin pants, loads of eyeliner and girl-on-girl rocking, this film is a whirlwind of the glitter and glam of the late 70′s. Kristin Stewart played a surprisingly butch Jett. The film itself wasn’t written as well as I had hoped, but the fashion nearly made it worth watching.
