Gaspar Noe has made some of the most fucked-up movies ever not to be banned, such as the motion sickness inducing snuff film Irreversible, and is part of a film movement canonized by Artforum as the “New French Extremity.” So is it wrong that I got excited in hearing that he made a new movie? Nobody else has made anything shocking lately. His new film, Enter the Void, is supposedly inspired by psychedelics and cheap club drugs and uses intense next level motion graphics. I still haven’t seen it. I don’t know why. If it is no longer playing when I have some free time I will flip out.
