Looking At Underworld’s Dirty Digital Legacy

Kuma | December 17th, 2010

Underworld has always been a band you can trust to deliver on all fronts. Be it visually, in print or on record, they deliver in their uniquely idiosyncratic fashion. However, it’s online where their uniqueness shines though the most.

Any monkey can tweet, but Underworld have gone beyond that with at least a daily visual archive stemming from their travels around the world. More than just a blog, it’s an astonishing look inside the minds and camera of some of dance music greatest iconoclasts.

Noting their eclectic tastes, you can also find a vast selection of art and music available for your edification. A three year archive of Karl Hyde’s painting exposes a very different side to mr lager lager lager.

Bu the real fun comes from their impromptu radio show archives. Happening maybe once or twice a year, the band plays new songs, old songs and classics from their record collection and mash it up with banter better than any morning show.

Anyone can have a myspace, few leave a lasting archive to a living, breathing digital legacy.
