Straight lines and Squiggly logic

Elena Gallen got sort of famous a couple years back for these t-shirts she made of Disney characters and Kate Moss with a nose bleed. They were very then and she got a few commissions from brands for collabs and ad campaigns.

Her new collection is called Sacred Geometry and the concept is awesome but the clothes are a bit …meh!. She’s promoting it with some weird short videos like the one below.

She also co-edits a magazine called Fuego with photographer Coke Batrina. The new issue is called Great Minds Think Alike and features some good international talent: Robbie Whitehead, Rafa Castells, Nacho Alegre and Daniel Sanwald. Gallen has got a great eye for catching styles just before they explode. The aesthetic is very much in the vein of the natural lighting and soft focus — photography that everything Terry Richardson started has kind of morphed into.
