I want to smoke inside but now I can’t so I’m going to vote a shitty right wing government

Spain banned smoking a couple of days ago, and everyone is really pissed off. Nobody is out in the streets demonstrating and there’s been a real PR push in the papers by the government but the Spanish never react violently to stuff at first. Right now everyone’s in denial, but soon they’ll be planting bombs.

Anyway, one of the concessions the PSOE made was Smoking Clubs. I know this sounds all Victorian and cool, and maybe they’ll be popular. They’re members clubs, but that can’t make money. They’re not allowed to serve food or drink (but it looks like you can BYO), and the only ones I’ve seen to date have been set up by tobacco companies to get the young-un’s hooked. It’s hard to see who else could afford to run a place like that. Which is a shame.

Hopefully some chain smoking good time loving philanthropist will set up a chain of underground clubs where the only cigarettes you’re allowed to smoke are Galouses and you have to wear berets and plot the revolution.

Yeah right!
