Myspace worked best for cute bands with swoopy hair. It did help a lot of unknown bands craft their image but in the last 2 years it has become somewhat irrelevant for anyone making serious music, especially electronic musicians who just want a smooth player. When Soundcloud first showed up it seemed like a forum for amateur producers to share music and trade tips. Now it is simply the best vehicle for sharing new music of any kind, unless the package is more important than the product. It’s a no bullshit site and I love it. Nothing on the Internet loads this quickly and plays this smoothly.
