Century 21 is a huge clothing shop in New York right next to Ground Zero. It’s like an American TK Maxx. I’d never go in TK Maxx in the UK in case somebody saw me, but in New York there’s hardly any chance of somebody catching me browsing the Ralph Lauren underwear department.
While filming a new documentary for VBS with Leo Leigh called Beautiful Liverpool, I bought a gray Nike tracksuit and white and gray scally trainers. If I ever wear it out drinking in East London people give me a wide berth. I like that.
