Moped, a Berlin-based start up, is launching a new payment system for smart phones.  It’s about users sending money to people they already know and making purchases “offline” using a smart phone. If you need to pay back a friend, buy a painting from a local artist or lost a bet in poker, this could come in handy.

Moped is designed from the bottom up with the smart phone in mind.  The interface is said to be intuitive and simple.
