I just discovered quite possibly the best sci-fi drama on TV in a very long time, if the first episode is anything to judge it by. Outcasts, is an eight part series for BBC One, shot in South Africa, so the planet of Carpathia’s landscape is absolutely stunning! The first episode see’s the various characters introduced, working hard together to preserve what they’ve built on the planet they now call home, having all given up their old lives under extraordinary circumstances. We are introduced to characters at a moment of incredible anticipation, as they’ve lost all contact with Earth but the arrival of the last known transporter signals fresh hopes and dreams. I won’t spoil it with what I already know but there is more to the planet than meets the eye. Of course the show is not on Swedish TV as yet, but Im sure it will be picked up by SVT in the near future.
