Game of Thrones

In my humble opinion the fantasy genre has been badly represented on TV. Poor scripts, bad special effects and some awful casting has left the fantasy realm in a poor state - take Xena, Hercules and Merlin as examples of this.  However it’s HBO’s turn to tackle the fantasy genre and they do so with an adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and FireThe  series of novels chronicle the violent dynastic struggles among noble families for control of the Iron Throne of Westeros. Just from the various trailers it seems very very promising. Maybe HBO will bring the magic the fantasy genre desperately needs. I’ll be waiting patiently for April 17th.
