Vice‘s Lesley Arfin, hipster pin up novelist Tao Lin and NY Tyrant’s seriously cute and astute book lover Giancarlo Di Trapiano all write on ThoughtCatalog, a new(ish) website which unbefuckinglievably has managed to carve a niche among all the cultural criticism websites that already exist (Gawker, videogum, huff post, etc.)
I didn’t think there was room for more people talking about things as opposed to doing them, but I was wrong. TC has become one of my daily checks. Some of the posts, especially those by Ryan O’Connell, are a bit obvious, and kind of fall flat, but there’s loads of good shit on there. Tao Lin’s experiments in banal surrealism. And whenever Lesley rocks up to the party throwing good vibes around like they were tear gas cannisters and she was a riot police on a seriously brutal crackdown against lameness.
