Tiny Furniture and the Do-Nothing Generation, or Whatever We are Called

Callan | March 18th, 2011

My friend Eugene, who may end up being one of my most famous filmmaker friends should the world embrace his internet-generated literal surrealism, recommended that I watch this movie Tiny Furniture because a friend of his made it and he thinks its smart. I discovered after watching the trailer that it is a perfect depiction of our generation: wealthy clever kid goes to school for creative pursuit and graduates with no vision and flounders through life. I have not seen this movie but I know this story all too well. Don’t blame us- being groundbreaking and important gets harder every second and if you have wealthy parents and you do “cute” things its OK right?
