Cats Eyes is the new band by Faris Badwan, singer of The Horrors and a Canadian chorister called Rachel Zeffira. It’s reminiscent of Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra playing with Spiritualized circa Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space. Album is out on Polydor next coupla months. Here they are performing at the Vatican.
Austra is the new name for Canadian singer Katie Stelmanis’ new musical project. I released a single by her a couple of years back and now Domino has signed her and the album is sounding amazing. Here’s the new single:
