I moved a few months ago—actually, a few few months ago—into a house where I no longer have numerous roommates all addicted to television with an extensive library of recorded DVR shows. Without those constant reminders, I kind of forgot about some things I once loved to watch, including 30 Rock. I didn’t see any of it in the fall, and just started watching it again over the past couple of weeks because I got sick and needed something to do while staying indoors all day. This last episode, TGS Hates Women, was particularly funny, and a perfect reminder of why 30 Rock is such a wonderful show.
Also, Arrested Development came up in conversation with friends lately. We were all quoting favorite lines, or recalling favorite moments from various episodes. I pulled out Season Two on DVD, which I got for $10 from a video store, and started watching it again. Man, what a great show! Makes me wonder if I should try rewatching Pushing Daisies episodes….
There’s also been some talk of delving back into Sex and the City with a group of friends. Not that I ever watched that show with any regularity, but it was always at least like… moderately entertaining. But suddenly, I don’t know… watching television shows seems more appealing than it has in ages, but there’s almost nothing that seems worth watching on.
