I love a good mix to perk up my morning in the office, late night working at home on the kitchen table, or 45 minute run around Kungsholmen. Thankfully finding a great mix right now is not too hard as the likes of Nike Sportswear, Discobelle and Dödselectro have been posting up some great, varied mixes from Sweden and further afield.
Nike Sportswear in Sweden has been working with Let’s Mix to publish a number of mixes from Swedish labels, artists and management groups. The latest mix is with Respect my Hustle featuring Adam Tensta, but they’ve also published mixes from Baseline Music, Pope Records, Discobelle Records and Gnucci Banana & Spoek Mathambo. Let’s Mix is based in Sweden and is simply “an online platform where you can listen to music mixes and upload, share and promote your own music mixes”. It’s the perfect host for mixes if you don’t want to use Soundcloud.
Discobelle, based in Malmö, publishes mixes from DJ’s and producers from all around the world. Dödselectro (Death Electro) also has some great electronic tracks as well as some nice mixes from time to time.
My favorite weekly dealer in mixes has to be Fact Magazine, based in the UK. It’s consistently great, crossing genres and always managing to be inspiring. 237 mixes so far and I’ve only been disappointed once. I do wish however they’d feature a Swedish producer or DJ at some point as there’s a lot of talent that could benefit from exposure on the site.
