Nowhere is the idea that 21st century youth is a borderless celebration of cultures and diversity exposed as a myth more than at a music festival. Last year the uniform for white 20-something indie-kids was cut off Levis, Vans, Ray-Bans and a No-Age/Health/Mika Miko t-shirt.
After doing some extensive research (going to see Deerhunter last week) I can exclusively reveal the outfit that you should tell your friends not to wear if you hope to be able to find them in the crowd at Primavera Sound:
Straight leg Levi’s Sta Prest, rolled up to an inch above patent leather deck shoes. Button down shirt/checked or denim. Oh and Ray-Bans.
In the hope that this fashion prediction comes true, I’m also going to announce that girls will be wearing very little. Thank you.
