I’ve been inked up enough to have a good idea about the history of tattooing in Vancouver and to know who’s been good for the city.
So, I get a kick every time I go to Tattoodles because I know that in there between the flash and the drawings and the documentation of tattoos both good and bad in the beating heart of Vancouver’s finest, Adam Sky.
Tattoodles was set to be a one stop shop for anything both the inker and inkee could want to see, read and absorb. It is now the Internet’s largest source of online tattoo designs and while there’s other sites out there of that do the same thing, Tattoodles provides a much more affordable link for people and well, to be quite honest, it feels much more like a community than most other places.
If you know who Adam Sky is, you know why there’s an almost year long wait to get in to see him. So to get the chance to not only read him blogging on Tattoodles and seeing him interacting with the community is awesome. Dude’s been there, done that and worked within sweating distance of Kat Von D, so it means that he’s also drawn in some world class talent to get involved with the site as well.
It’s a worth a look, doesn’t matter if you’re just thinking about getting something on you shoulder, a full back piece or finally getting Doctor Who on your knuckles.
