And how do you know that in Sweden? Well the line-ups to all the music festivals start to appear and the tickets sell out!One of the other best and largest festivals is Way Out West. For three days the city of Gothenburg is home to the best in national and international music (it feels like the majority of the media, fashion crowd and Stockholm’s cool kids disappear down there over the weekend of the 12th-13th August). The line up for 2011 so far includes Kanye West, Pulp, Robyn, Fleet Foxes, Thåström, Explosions In The Sky, Janelle Monáe, Wiz Khalifa, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, The Jayhawks, Twin Shadow, The Avett Brothers and Warpaint. But up in Stockholm what can we expect? nothing as large but, there’s always Popaganda which takes place 26-27th August and has just announced Lykke Li, Architecture in Helsinki,The Go! Team and Arcade Fire.
