I have been writing about internet stars like Lil B, and producers like Clams Casino quite a bit over the last year, and it would seem that people can’t stop talking about Odd Future, but for those who like rap music to be powerful and sincere without performance art or stream of conscious brilliance, this year will be the year of Pusha T. He has made some of the best rap of the last decade as half of Clipse, his recent mixtape was really refreshing to listen to and this single is simply incredible:
It is an example of raw and intelligent mainstream rap music, something that is increasingly difficult easy to find. Eagerly awaiting all of Pusha T’s stories many of which will no doubt be about selling cocaine.
