La Central is an independent chain of bookshops with three stores in Barcelona and a branch in the Reina Sofia in Madrid. The Raval store is the best one though, partly because they’ve got a huge art book and comic section where you can usually find some neat local zines, but mainly because it’s a pretty building in the center of the Raval, which makes it really well placed to trick you into the ‘leaving the house at 3pm to buy books, back home at 05:00′ thing.
