It’s always intriguing to see what people set as their homepages on their web browsers, and even more fascinating to ponder why they choose a particular page as their welcome site of choice. But when you stumble on a good one, it’s easy to understand the logic behind leaving that site as a flagship beacon for a while, taking the time to delicately explore its intricacies, slowly unravelling its contents, unleashing morsels of inspiration that seep out gradually into your everyday life.
One recent day in stumbling through my Facebook News Feed, I came upon a gem of a site that seems to pretty much have it all. It’s been set as my homepage for 19 days running, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it may last up to 90. The page is none other than thecoolhunter.net.
With a plethora of categories to voyeuristically regard, read about, and ponder – containing the usual categories of Fashion, Art, Music, Food, Events, etc, this site is well-laid out with tonnes of eye-candy to look at and includes less-oft explored categories such as Treelife, Gadgets, Architecture, Design, and Travel.
With an image-to-text volume ratio of about 10 to 1, the cool hunter is an easy morning read, afternoon distraction or before-bedtime infusion of inspiration.
Highly recommended for those who like to be in the Know.
