Sending Files on the Fly: YouSendit vs. MegaUpload

YouSendit vs. Megaupload

Is it just me or is online file storage becoming an increasingly competitive money-making venture?

YouSendit has cut their file sending size in two, now only allowing files up to 50MB in size to be sent in a single shot. Megaupload offers up to 1024 MB of free sending, but cleverly limits the size of files downloadable by non-premium users.

Although I find Megaupload’s orange and black tiger-like color scheme of the site to be rather uncalled for, when it comes to file sending, it is functionality that matters most.

This means:

1. Upload + download speed

2. File size sending + receiving limits

3. Ease of use

4. Familiarity

It’s really too bad YouSendit had to reduce their free upload filesize. Cos it means that now Megaupload takes the cake.
