White Denim, Austin’s own arty garage rock trio came into their own with their latest album. I remember seeing these guys play dusty parking lots and sweaty art openings just a few years ago.

They’ve added another member and recorded an album that is more complex and yet lighter than their previous work. D is a masterful album and has finally launched them onto the national stage, with a great review from Pitchfork and tons of media attention. It’s great to see home grown talent reach a wider audience and start to get the kind of attention they deserve.
