It’s amazing how disloyal Canadians are to our own country.
If you ask someone from Montreal if they have been to Paris, and if they’re Francophone, chances are they have been. But if you ask if they have been to Prince Edward Island or BC, two of Canada’s most breathtaking regions, chances are they will shake their heads no. Vancouver I can understand. To get there costs the same amount and takes almost the same amount of time as flying to Europe.
But Prince Edward Island? In approximately 90 minutes you can be transported by plane from the ultra urban concrete jungles of Montreal to the red-sand beaches of PEI. With an abundance of fresh seafood (lobsters, oysters, mussels), lighthouses, and sand dunes, and warm ocean currents gracing the surrounding waters, Prince Edward Island has some of Canada’s most beautiful beaches and is a fabulous place to visit if you want to get away from it all.
