I am Gifted, So are You

Lecturer Tran Dang Khoa, 30, has a dream.  He hopes that within 10 years, he will be able to help 1 million people discover their own potential.

Inspired by Adam Khoo, a Singaporean best-selling author and motivational speaker, Tran created Toi Tai Gioi (“I am Gifted”), a programme targeting tweens, teenagers, and adults which seeks to help everyone achieve extraordinary results in their lives with the right encouragement, stimulation and learning methods.

In 2000, Khoa won the ASEAN scholarship to study and work in Singapore. After graduating from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and working in a big corporation, he had invested thousands of dollars to enrich his knowledge on self-development, management, and marketing so he can embark on his own entrepreneurial journey.

He and his wife then left a comfortable life in Singapore to come home and launch their business– TGM corporation, the first and only company that specializes in teaching and training people in Vietnam. From a staff of 4, TGM has now grown to have more than 80 employees and thousands of trainers. The company has also published I am Gifted, So Are You, which has went on to become a best-seller with more than 150,000 copies sold along with 400,000 e-book downloads.

June 2011 marks an important milestone in the programme. Within only two years, I am Gifted has helped inspire thousands of people and gained praises from the local media.

Tran Dang Khoa has indeed achieved a lot as he turns the big 3-0 this year. But when asked who influences him the most,  he simply says it’s his mom. In fact, he is now writing a book entitled Mom Teaches Me to be a Good Human to share his mom’s superb parenting skills.

If you catch him somewhere, you can hardly tell he’s a succesful entrepreneur. He is just a normal guy with casual clothes, with down-to-earth hobbies like watching movies. But when he starts speaking, you will be amazed by his passion. Everything he has done was never for fame nor money, but for one mission– to change the way young Vietnamese think and learn.
