Anna Korte has been making jewelry in Portland since 2002. Under AK Vintage Anna has been turning (media) heads since 2008, featured in the likes of Refinery29, People Style Watch, Marie Clair and Nylon.
Here in Portland she not only turns heads but has a loyal fan base that is a who’s who of PDX fashionistas. I found out about her through Sarah of YO VINTAGE! who told me I absolutely must meet this beautiful and kind woman who makes these exquisite pieces. I have yet to meet her, but am continuatlly blown away every time I look at her most recent look-book, and have decided I must have an ESSENTIAL CREATURE necklace in my grasp ASAP.
That being said, I’m going to let her website fill in the blanks I was not aware of:
AK Vintage has evolved from limited runs of jewelry made from deconstructed vintage necklaces to full collections made from a mixture of authentic vintage parts, recycled leather and castings made locally from one of a kind vintage findings. Inspired by sustainable solutions, production for all AK Vintage pieces are kept locally, handmade in Portland, OR.
Make sure to check out her latest happenings on her Facebook page by “liking” her – you won’t regret it!
