Fashion-Forward on Facebook

Facebook has become a profitable playground for many young entrepreneurs in Thailand and Khun Nat of Shepherd Smallroom is a great example.

As a full-time employee, Khun Nat didn’t always have the time to step into a mall, so shopping online became her next best alternative.  Inspired by other businesses that got their start on Facebook, Khun Nat took her passion for clothes and fashion and launched her own Facebook business, pledging to provide only high quality and fashion-forward goods.
Today, Shepherd Smallroom has grown from its online-based business to a brick-and-mortar store.  Khun Nat has now opened a store at the new Siam Paradise Night Bazaar in Bangkok. The store offers the same well-designed and high quality fashion items as her online store and caters to both guys and dolls.
Though much of Khun Nat’s initial business was funded by her own savings, Khun Nat now has the support of her family and friends in starting her brick-and-mortar store.  They fully support her passion for fashion and design, and want to see her ideas shared with the world.
Shepherd Smallroom is decorated with 100% recyclable items and clothes hangers are even made from 100% biodegradable material!  Khun Nat is not only opting to the go-green trend because it’s the environmentally friendly thing to do; its also the new chic and trendy thing to do in BKK as it makes the most business sense!
Fueled with the desire to have her own business, Khun Nat is determined to keep her full-time day job as she simultaneously handles Shepherd Smallroom‘s Facebook and Siam Paradise Night Bazaar outlets after her work hours and on weekends.

Khun Nat has been able to ride today’s new wave of trends by being able to offer a website-based shopping portal and at the same time keeping up with the social trend of supporting environmentally-conscious products.  Let’s wait and see how she can contribute to the next BKK fashion trend!
